Suez canal traffic was halted on Friday so 12 US warships that included an aircraft carrier, one giant Israeli warship and a possible Israeli sub with nukes on board could get through the Suez Canal and onward to the Red Sea. There were thousands of Egyptian soldiers lining the banks of the entire canal with weapons to make sure the flotilla was safe while traveling through the canal. The flotilla is reportedly on the way to the Persian Gulf to meet up with 2 other US carrier groups already in the Gulf. According to reports there are already 3 Israeli nuclear-armed subs in the waters off Iran.
There is also increased aircraft activity in the Gulf region. So what is going on? Is Israel preparing to attack Iran with our assistance? Dear God I hope not. Or is it just more saber-rattling?
